Solar panel, solar geyser and window cleaning in Fish Hoek
Solar & Window Clean is a mobile cleaning service based in Fish Hoek, run by Cobus Bester. We clean solar panels, solar geysers and windows on single- and double-storey homes, shopfronts and offices across the South Peninsula, Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs.
Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00. Cobus aims to reply to WhatsApp messages within an hour during these hours.

What does Solar & Window Clean do?
We clean three things: solar PV panels, solar geyser (solar water heater) collectors, and windows and glass.
Solar panels
We lift dust, salt film and bird droppings with purified water and soft brushes. We never stand on your panels.
Solar geysers
We clean the collector glass on solar geysers, so dirt doesn't block the sun. We don't do plumbing work.
Windows and glass
Homes, shopfronts and offices, single- and double-storey. Purified water dries without mineral spots or a soapy film.
What we don't do: paving or driveway washing, roof repairs, plumbing or electrical work, or anything above double-storey. Cape Town's Water By-law doesn't allow hosing down paved areas with municipal drinking water without the City's written permission.
Why does summer matter for solar panels and geysers in Cape Town?
Because Cape Town gets most of its rain in winter, so your panels and solar geyser glass get the fewest rinses when the sun is strongest.
Not every roof needs a clean, though. Steep panels that get a good winter rinse may not need us yet (Canadian Solar). Send Cobus a photo, or read when cleaning helps, and when it doesn't.
Why clean solar panels and windows with purified water?
Purified water has almost no dissolved minerals, so it dries without mineral spots and needs no soap or detergent (Unger).
The tap water in our area is soft (City of Cape Town; USGS), but it still carries minerals that dry as spots. We use pure-water equipment from a specialist South African supplier.
Purified water: filtered by reverse osmosis.
Soft brushes: no scrapers or abrasives on panels or collectors.
Water-fed poles: for cleaning glass from the ground.
No soap or detergent: no soapy film left behind.
Never on your panels: we never stand or walk on panels or geyser collectors.

Which suburbs do you come to?
We're based in Fish Hoek and come to you in eight suburbs across the South Peninsula, Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs.

| South Peninsula | Fish Hoek · Noordhoek · Kommetjie · Simon's Town |
| Atlantic Seaboard | Hout Bay · Camps Bay |
| Southern Suburbs | Constantia · Claremont |
Travel is included in every quote, and the distance from Fish Hoek is one of the things that set the price. See every suburb we cover. Just outside these areas? Ask Cobus.
How much does a clean cost?
Solar panel cleaning is from R45 per panel. Four things change the price: the number of panels, single- or double-storey and access, the distance from Fish Hoek, and how dirty the panels are.
Solar geysers, windows and glass are quoted per job, from your photos or a short video.
Every quote is all-in, with travel included. Cobus agrees the price with you on WhatsApp, from your photos or video, before any work starts. Nothing is added on the day.
Bigger jobs and regular cleans can be discounted; just ask. Maintenance plans are available on request, with the terms agreed in writing. No VAT is charged; we're not VAT-registered.
Who will you deal with?
Cobus Bester, who runs Solar & Window Clean from Fish Hoek. He has 30 years in the home maintenance business.
"The best and correct tools for a specific job give the best results, always."
That's the thinking behind the purified water, soft brushes and water-fed poles. He also aims, in his words, to serve customers "better than they expected".
Solar & Window Clean is new, so there are no reviews or job photos yet. Real photos will follow as jobs are done.
